When my little boy was a baby I made all my own baby food using wholesome and fresh ingredients. I loved making my own baby food for Thomas it gave me great satisfaction seeing him enjoy a wide range of vitamins, minerals, proteins and calcium rich foods! I would cook in batch, puree his food then pour the puree into an ice cube tray with a lid, once the food was frozen I popped them into a labelled sandwich bag, and washed the ice cube tray ready for the next time.

Saying that I have friends and family members who sware by feeding their little ones with baby jars mainly due to convenience, especially if you are out and about. It is a matter of personal preference and time constraints.

As a new mum I found the Internet such a useful tool, I often went online when Thomas was sleeping to research all sorts of baby related questions I had buzzing round my head from that day. I even found a website with pictures of baby poo! Just to make sure that everything was normal and Thomas was ok. As you probably know baby poo changes when you move from a milk only diet to more solid foods. During the first few months I also searched online about trapped wind and colic, another first hand experience we went through with Thomas. I am sure all you mums out there will agree colic is one of the worst things your little one can go through, as a mum you feel so helpless. I plan to share all my first time mum experiences with you from how to beat colic to baby swimming, best first baby food recipe's and much more.

Motherhood is one of the most life changing experiences, so exhausting and demanding. I felt so overwhelmed with love for my little bundle I had a huge responsibility to care for and nurture. You don't realise just how much you can love until your holding your baby in your arms, a baby who needs you. I can safely say that having a baby has changed my life in so many ways for the better!
